How can I sync my Qonto transactions with my accounting software in the Netherlands or Belgium?

  • Updated

If you're a Qonto customer in the Netherlands or Belgium, you can now automatically sync your banking transactions with popular local accounting tools—saving you valuable time on manual data entry.

This feature is available to Admins and Owner.

This feature is developed in partnership with CHIFT, our trusted partner for connecting Qonto with leading accounting platforms.

How do I set it up?

  1. Choose your integration: Go to the Integrations & Partnerships section in your Qonto web app and browse the 8 available accounting tools for your market.
  2. Connect your tool: Select your preferred integration, review the details, and click Connect.
  3. Authorize the connection: You'll be redirected to a secure page where you can log in and authorize Qonto to share your transaction data (you can sync transactions from up to 3 months before your setup date).
  4. Configure your sync: Choose which Qonto account(s) to connect and set your preferences (like the sync start date and update frequency).
  5. Start syncing: Once confirmed, you'll return to Qonto where the integration will show as Connected. Your transactions will now sync automatically—no manual exports needed!

How does the connection flow between my Qonto account and my accounting tool work?

Step 1: Select the Qonto organization to use

During the initial setup, you will need to select the Qonto organization you want to connect to your accounting tool.

Step 2: Allow Chift to access the account's data

You will need to authorize Chift to access your account data.

Step 3: Connect the accounting software

Once you've authorized Qonto to access your data, you'll be redirected to connect your accounting software.

  • Click on the Connect button to establish the connection between your Qonto account and your software.

Step 4 : Map your data Match your journals and bank accounts so Qonto transactions sync correctly into your accounting tool. You can also invite your accountant to help with the mapping.

We recommend involving your accountant during setup. You can invite them at any time by entering their email address. They'll help ensure your data is mapped correctly.

Step 5: Flow configuration - Automatic synchronization

The synchronization is configured automatically. Your banking transactions will be imported into your accounting software every day at 03:00 AM. You can select a start date for data synchronization to determine from which date transactions should begin syncing.

Once the flow is configured, click "Enable" to activate the automatic synchronization.

Step 6: Confirmation - The synchronization has started

Once you've completed all the configuration steps, you'll receive a confirmation that the synchronization has started. The page displays a summary of your configuration:

  • Connections
  • Mappings
  • Configuration

The synchronization may take some time. You can leave the page and your transactions will be automatically exported to your accounting tool.
