What is dark mode?

Dark mode is a dark display setting for your applications and screen. It helps reduce eye strain, improves readability, and preserves battery life on mobile devices.

How do I switch to dark mode?

From the mobile app:

  • Open the Menu (bottom right corner).
  • Go to Settings (the ⚙️ gear icon at the top right).
  • Tap Appearance (under the Personal settings section).
  • Choose your preferred option – your choice is saved instantly.

From the web app:

  1. Open Settings (the ⚙️ gear icon at the bottom left).
  2. Go to Personal settingsAppearance tab.
  3. Choose your preferred option – your choice is saved instantly.

What is automatic mode?

Automatic mode in your Qonto app adjusts the display based on the time of day, following your device's settings.

By selecting automatic mode, your app's display will match your device's settings.

For example, if your device is in dark mode, your Qonto app will automatically switch to dark mode. Likewise, it will switch to light mode if your device does.

💡 Good to know: On the web app, automatic mode follows your device settings. In Firefox and Edge, it adapts to your browser settings.

Who can use dark mode?

Dark mode is available to all users. You simply need a compatible device and operating system:

On mobile:

  • iOS 13 and later.

  • Android 10 and later.

On a browser:

  • For the automatic setting: Chrome ≥ 76, Edge ≥ 79, Firefox ≥ 67, Safari ≥ 12.1

  • For dark/light mode: All browsers

💡 How to check your device compatibility:

  • iOS: Settings → General → About → Software Version

  • Android: Settings → About phone → Android version
